Celebrate the Birthday of Donna, the World’s Oldest Hippo!

Evansville, IN – Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden is pleased to present Family Fun Day! This event, celebrating the birthday of Donna, the world’s oldest Nile hippopotamus, will take place this Saturday, July 10 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Don’t miss the Birthday Sing-Along for Donna at 1:00 p.m. No, Donna won’t get cake, but she will get a giant frozen fruit treat and you’ll get to enjoy some real birthday cake! Other activities include: Fly Like an Eagle Audubon Raptor Show, “Fun in the Forest” Presentations, Magic Shows by Don Baggett, the Amazing Magician, a Giant Inflatable from Bouncing off the Walls, Face Painting by the Hadi Funster Clowns, Animal Enrichment Activities and Zoo Keeper Talks, Crafts, Performance by the Kiylindi Pipes and Drums, and more! All activities are free with paid Zoo admission or Zoo membership.

Evansville’s Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden is open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (must leave grounds by 5 p.m.). Adult admission is $8.50 and children ages 3-12 are $7.50. Children under 3 are free. In recognition of their support, Vanderburgh County residents receive $1 discount. Group discounts and yearly memberships are also available.
