Oct 14, 2008Boo at the Zoo For Immediate Release BOO AT THE ZOO Sponsored by McDonald’s Evansville, IN – Evansville’s Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden is pleased to announce the return of Boo at the Zoo, their largest and most exciting event of the year. Boo at the Zoo will take place the next two Fridays and Saturdays, October 17 & 18 and October 24 & 25. Admission gates for the event are open from 5 – 8 p.m. Admission prices to Boo at the Zoo are $6.00 general admission, $5.00 for members, children 1 and under free. $1 discount coupons are available at local McDonald’s. During the days of Boo at the Zoo, the entrance of the Zoo will close at 2:00 p.m. and all visitors must exit the Zoo by 3:00 p.m. to allow for event setup. Visitors will follow a trick or treat path through the Zoo visiting more than a dozen treat stations, plus enjoy craft activities, face painting, creepy critters, games, a straw maze, magic shows, a giant inflatable bounce, chocolate milk, murals and more, plus see the zoo’s latest exhibit, AMAZONIA! New this year is a visit from a “Mad Scientist” and the “Haunted Walk”! Be sure to wear your Halloween best for Boo at the Zoo! If your costume catches the attention of local media personalities, you might win a prize! Visitors of all ages will have a frightfully good time and enjoy a safe Halloween experience, leaving the Zoo with a bag full of goodies! Parking is available at the Zoo’s main parking lot, located at 1545 Mesker Park Drive, as well as Lot A (located across from Mesker Amphitheater) and a third lot located next to Mesker Park.
